Team - Charisse Glenn

Charisse Glenn began her Endurance career in 1996.She was hired to train horses owned by Shiek Maktoum of the UAE. She took that opportunity and trained his horses for 7 years.

By 2003 she had developed her own client base. At that time her concentration focused on campaigning her own horses and her own clientele.

Charisse demands of herself as much as she asks from her horses and her clients. Her philosophy is for each individual to strive to be the best that he/she can be. She acknowledges the strengths and helps to optimize the weakness of both horse and rider. She has worked with clients as young as 8 yrs old and others into their mid 60’s.

Her approach is holistic. She approaches the horse’s training, placing her focus on nutrition, conditioning, balance of the body and development of the mind.

She incorporates a Chiropractor and Equine Therapist into her training on a regular schedule. Because of this, she believes her horses are able to perform better, no matter how difficult the competition.

To create as little stress to the horse is paramount in her training. She is always looking for ways to conserve energy while optimizing performance. Being a balanced rider with a soft feel is imperative, in her view, to success.
Currently she is working on a book based on her experiences training horses and how that translates to life. She is certain that “horses have made her a better person”.

Aside from horses, since 1986 she has had her own company, casting Television Commercials. She has also directed and produced a “How To” video called: “Becoming One with Your Horse”, for another trainer.

She has varied life experiences, having lived in both Southern and Northern California, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Maui, Hawaii, New York City and France. Currently she resides in California with Carl, their horses, dogs, cats and pet squirrel named Coco.
